The Capital Area Chapter of the American Heart Association and Junior League of Baton Rouge recently presented 50 CPR kits for infants to Woman’s Hospital. These kits will help NICU families learn life-saving CPR and choking relief skills for their babies. Educating parents and caregivers in CPR skills is essential, as many NICU babies experience heart problems or respiratory distress. The kits are designed for at-home use and allow families to learn life-saving skills in about 20 minutes at home. Each kit contains an English/Spanish tutorial DVD, one CPR infant manikin, and an English/Spanish skills reminder card. ■ womans.org
