The West Feliciana Parish School Leaders would like to congratulate the class of 2020! The unexpected ending of the 2020 school year does not overshadow the achievements of their 2020 graduates! The success of the West Feliciana Class of 2020 is obvious through their scholarship offers, recognitions, and awards. The students have earned over three million dollars in scholarships, and over 60 percent of the graduates are eligible for TOPS and TOPS TECH funds due to their grade point averages and high ACT scores. The seniors will begin their post-secondary plans with college credit and certifications already earned. The West Fel graduates are millwrights, welders, electricians, visual design specialists, and students with college credit in Physics, Chemistry, English, World History, Psychology, Computer Science, Spanish, and Calculus, just to name a few. Almost 10 percent of the class received the AP Scholar recognition by the College Board for the number of qualifying scores on Advanced Placement exams, and they expect more to be recognized when 2020 AP scores are released.They are going to college with academic, athletic, and NROTC scholarships.
This senior class began high school with the flood of 2016 and ended with COVID. They have shown strength, compassion, and patience during these challenging times. Because of their perseverance, determination and kindness, West Feliciana Parish School Leaders have no doubt the West Feliciana Senior Class of 2020 will succeed in their next plans and make an impact on the world.
