Recently, a healthy male African black-footed penguin chick was born at the Audubon Aquarium. This new baby requires plenty of round-the-clock care from the aquarium’s animal care team who prepare special liquid meals for the chick. His next milestone, beyond being introduced to the fish he will eat as an adult, is to learn how to swim. His human caregivers will help him adjust to swimming and more before being introduced to the Aquarium’s colony. audubonnatureinstitute.org
