Michael Kober, a student at Albany High School, has been awarded the National Rural and Small-Town Award by the College Board National Recognition Program. Kober, a 16-year-old junior in Livingston Parish, became Albany High’s first recipient of the recognition program. Recipients of the award must have taken and performed well on the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10 or AP Exams. Kober scored 1410 on the SAT and 35 on the ACT, both first-attempt scores. “We are very proud of Michael’s national recognition, as well as his long track record of high achievement in the Albany School System,” says Albany High School Principal Sammie Lacara. “We wish him continued success this school year and into his senior year. We know he has a bright future ahead of him.”
