Scotlandville Magnet High School hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the East Baton Rouge Parish School System for the unveiling of a law courtroom. Scotlandville’s Center of Excellence for Government Affairs is a four-year program for ninth-grade students who are interested in learning more about law. At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, participants got an exclusive sneak peek at the courtroom, complete with a judge’s bench, jury box, deliberation room, and more. Students in the program will gain direct experience in the justice system with partnerships with government-related professions.
