Catholic High School (CHS) has set the standard for excellence in education in the Baton Rouge area for almost 130 years. Founded in 1894 by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, CHS is a college-preparatory school for young men in grades 8-12 dedicated to providing opportunities for the development of the spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, and physical growth of each student. The mission of Catholic High School is to teach gospel values in an environment of academic excellence according to Catholic tradition and the spirit of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.

Recognized six times as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education, CHS offers a rigorous academic program that includes a 1:1 laptop program, multiple honors and AP courses, a STREAM curriculum (science, technology, religion, engineering, arts, and mathematics), and a wide variety of elective courses. In addition, students have the opportunity to excel in 14 different sports, with many competing for state titles each year. With more than 30 extracurricular activities offered, young men are able to pursue interests in clubs such as robotics, multimedia, fishing, lacrosse, and many others.

In 2020, CHS opened the 32-thousand-square-foot Brother Donnan Berry, S.C. Student Center. The facility provides students with access to a spacious dining area, campus ministry center, and other learning spaces where they are able to socialize with classmates and interact with faculty.
