We are living in very challenging times, and we aren’t sure how long they will last. However, Red Stick Together, a ministry of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, is helping make things a little easier for our community.
Red Stick Together is expanding its nights of free meals to include Mondays and Fridays, starting April 6, to help those in our community who have experienced job loss or are affected by food shortages due to COVID-19.
Starting on April 6, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6 p.m., meals are prepared fresh and served hot in to-go boxes outside of the building, while volunteers follow Gov. John Bel Edwards’ orders and CDC guidelines for food service during this pandemic. One meal is given per person, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Red Stick Together is located at 9620 Florida Blvd, Suite 500 in Baton Rouge in the Broadmoor Shopping Center.
