Forty Park Medical Academy Pre-K students recently found a trip to the doctor’s office rather “bearable.” This is because Baton Rouge General Medical Center in Mid City hosted a Bear Clinic, which helped students become more familiar with healthcare jobs and doctors’ visits. They were given teddy bears on which to conduct health and wellness checks. This involved the students taking the bear to ten stations, including respiratory, rehabilitation, radiology, dental hygiene, and pharmacy. Thanks to Baton Rouge General, these students will feel more comfortable during their check-ups and understand important medical procedures.
