The coronavirus pandemic put a lot of summer fun on hold for our children, but LSU Online & Continuing Education has transformed their incredibly popular summer camps into virtual experiences that can still be enjoyed this summer, but now, from the safety of your own home.
While the camps are 100 percent online, you can still expect the same caliber of quality in these enrichment programs.
With certified teachers leading the way of each camp, LSU’s programs are designed to inspire and challenge the next generation of learners to explore new possibilities in math, reading, and coding. Each teacher will provide daily, scheduled live instruction with campers, and everyone will receive a mailed-home packet for a more hands-on experience.
LSU understands that these are difficult times for all of us. Because of this, they are offering three different levels of opportunity for your campers-to-be to attend at a low cost.
With a need-based scholarship, you can have your camp cost reduced to only $20. To get the scholarship code, you will need to fill out the scholarship form. There’s also a special rate for the LSU community, which includes current faculty, staff, students and alumni. This rate will reduce the cost to $33. To obtain the code, email precollege@outreach.lsu.edu. And best of all, for every week you are enrolled in a degree program during the summer, you can receive a free camp week for your child. Contact an enrollment concierge for details.
If you do not qualify for these options, that’s okay! LSU’s camps are open to all campers in grades 1-8, and they are all reasonably priced at $99.
Registration is open now, and camp begins on June 1. Spaces are limited, so don’t be late! Let’s all join the Tiger family and reach our educational goals together this summer.
