The LSU School of Veterinary Medicine invites the public to its 42nd Open House on Saturday, February 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the LSU Vet Med facility on Skip Bertman Drive. This event is free and open to families of all ages.

The LSU Vet Med Open House provides a fun and educational opportunity for the community to explore the world of veterinary medicine. Attendees can learn about animal health care, welfare, and biomedical research from LSU students, faculty, staff, and local organizations. Highlights include a petting zoo, a teddy bear repair station where children can “suture” stuffed animals, and live animal demonstrations. Local groups such as BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo, the Baton Rouge Police K-9 Unit, Companion Animal Alliance, and the Baton Rouge Kennel Club will also participate.
