If you’re like me, you’ve likely seen a video on TikTok or Instagram that looks so easy to make that it leaves you feeling like you can make it too! Well, I’ve decided to put that theory to the test by trying out recipes that look easy.
First up? Chocolate Banana Bread.
I came across this recipe from @buzzfeedtasty on Instagram and knew I had to try it! I love baking and sweets, and it just looked too easy to pass up. After a quick grocery run, we were ready to bake. Turns out, this recipe is as easy as it looks—and it’s delicious!
If you want a quick and easy treat for the family that doesn’t take much time, this is the recipe for you. You don’t even need the chocolate chips! I found that even though I added them, they didn’t make the banana bread overly sweet. It’s the perfect mix of banana and chocolate.
Now, I did change two things about the recipe. It originally calls for salt and mini chocolate chips. I typically shy away from adding salt because I’ve ruined many sweets in the past. However, if you’re comfortable using it, go for it! As for the chocolate, the recipe suggests mini chocolate chips, but as a sweet lover, I went all in and used regular milk chocolate chips instead.
