Local Girl Scout Troop 10518 has been learning about philanthropy and giving back to their community. After studying the power of a single person, a team, and then community, the girls chose to work with local nonprofit Blossom. Blossom provides uniforms, toiletries, hygiene supplies, and other essentials to local children. The troop helped by using a portion of their cookie proceeds to purchase deodorant, soap, toothbrushes, and other supplies. Then, the girls hosted a packaging party at nonprofit Redstick CARES to put together over 100 compassion kits! The girls were empowered by their experience and are already planning their next community outreach! For more information about the two nonprofits, visit BlossomCares.org and RedstickCares.org.
