Colon cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in men and women in the United States. To help raise awareness for this cancer, the Colon Cancer Coalition is hosting the Get Your Rear in Gear 5K in Baton Rouge on Saturday, March 9. Money raised for this event will go to local initiatives such as screening for under and uninsured people, education, and resources for early detection, and will help reduce financial burdens for patients affected by colon cancer.
