Gardere Community Christian School (GCCS) celebrated a major milestone, with a Grand Opening and ribbon cutting for its new school building. The event marked a renewed investment in the future of students and families in the Gardere community.

The celebration opened with a joyful performance by the GCCS 1st–2nd grade choir, led by Palacios House of Arts. Guests then enjoyed a blessing from Rev. Gerrit Dawson of First Presbyterian Church, setting a reflective and uplifting tone for the event. GCCS Board President Ryan Forsthoff delivered remarks highlighting the vision, partnerships, and community support that made the new building possible.

Attendees had the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art facility, guided by GCCS 5th grade students, who enthusiastically shared what made the school special. Among those in attendance were leaders from Salco Construction, State Representative Terry Landry, Jr., State Senator Larry Selders, major donors, and GCCS Founder Nancy Zito.

Under the leadership of Principal and Executive Director Lauren Darden, GCCS continues its mission of providing a firm Christian foundation while promoting academic excellence, spiritual and character development, and family and community involvement.
