Family Resource Group is celebrating a big showing at the Parenting Media Association’s 2025 Design and Editorial Awards, held this November, with honors across the country for its family of regional parenting magazines.
Baton Rouge Parents Magazine brought home top recognition with a Gold award for “Swim Lessons for All Ages” in the Family Matters category, plus a Silver Service Feature award for “Traveling Abroad with Your Family” and a Bronze for its September 2024 cover. The team also earned a Bronze for overall writing in its Spring Pink & Blue baby guide.
Oklahoma City–based MetroFamily Magazine was a multiple-award standout, including Gold for its “Letter from the Editor,” Gold for its user-friendly Calendar of Events, Gold for sponsored content highlighting local urban hiking, Bronze for overall writing and Bronze for a powerful Black History Month family fun feature. MetroFamily also earned Silver for its courageous “What’s Right with Our Schools” special series.
Colorado Parent was recognized on both the editorial and design sides, earning Silver in the Family Matters category for “How to Support Your Child Through an Eating Disorder,” Bronze for its robust Calendar of Events section, and Gold for Calendar of Events design.
Nola Family Magazine received Bronze for its heartfelt publisher’s letters and Gold for “Rain Will Bring Flowers,” a moving profile of a family turning tragedy into advocacy, plus a Bronze Q&A award for “Mom About Town.”
Cincinnati Family Magazine earned Gold for “Cincy Buzz” in Briefs/Short Stuff, Gold for the non-traditional story “Top 10 Skills Kids Learn at Camp,” and Silver for its Q&A with young actor Dorien Watson.
Together, these awards highlight Family Resource Group’s commitment to trusted, local storytelling that helps families feel informed, connected and supported at every stage of the parenting journey.
