Families are invited to celebrate the season at the first-ever Fall Fest at Capitol Park Museum, a brand-new community event debuting Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 2–6 p.m. in downtown Baton Rouge. Hosted by the Friends of the Capitol Park Museum, this festive afternoon will feature family fun, creative activities, and a touch of fall magic, all while supporting the museum’s mission to preserve and share Louisiana’s history.
The event marks the beginning of a new annual tradition and serves as a fundraiser for the Friends of the Capitol Park Museum as they prepare for the museum’s 20th anniversary celebration in 2026. Proceeds will directly benefit educational programming, exhibit development, and community engagement initiatives that bring Louisiana’s stories to life year-round.
Visitors can look forward to a lineup of attractions for all ages, including a Haunted House and Harvest Maze, a Costume Contest with prizes in multiple age categories, and the Pumpkin Patch Play Zone filled with carnival games and activities. Families can also enjoy local vendors at the Fall Market, get creative at the Arts & Crafts Station, and savor snacks and drinks from local food vendors throughout the afternoon.
“We’re thrilled to introduce Fall Fest as a new way for families and community members to experience Capitol Park Museum,” says Griffin Landry, President of the Friends of the Capitol Park Museum. “It’s a fun, community-centered event that celebrates Louisiana culture while supporting our museum’s mission.”
Tickets are available now at capitolparkfriends.org/fallfest2025 and on EventBrite, with free admission for children six and under. For more information or to get involved as a vendor, volunteer, or partner, email fallfest@capitolparkfriends.org.
