EBR Schools Exceptional Student Services Department celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the district’s first EBR Life Skills Center on Glen Oaks High School’s campus. Community-based classes will utilize the training center to practice the independent living skills taught in the classroom. The hands-on practice will help strengthen students’ adaptive and functional life skills. Teachers will provide structured opportunities and practice to address the skills students need to develop to live independently. The EBR Life Skills Center is one of the many efforts the ESS Department utilizes to provide practical opportunities for academic achievement and postsecondary outcomes for all students with disabilities.
