Westdale Heights Academic Magnet (WHAM) is a K–5 dedicated academic magnet school with a focus on environmental science, mathematics and technology. WHAM students are provided with rigorous academic instruction, in and beyond the classroom, that deepens content knowledge and sharpens critical thinking skills. Our science specialist, classroom teachers and enrichment teachers utilize our technology lab, science lab, school gardens and koi pond for inquiry-based instruction. As a Green Ribbon School, students have numerous opportunities to learn environmental awareness through recycling and composting, working in our school gardens, participating in citizen science projects and creating “Green Projects” using recyclable materials. At WHAM, we work diligently to instill confidence that fosters our students’ ability to reach their fullest potential!
