Children learn best by exploring & investigating and at The Co-op, we understand that. The Child Development Cooperative is an award-winning, play-based program where children learn by following their own curiosity and imagination.

Rooted in a scientifically-based, child-led philosophy, our caregivers act as gentle guides-observing, listening, and providing enriching materials that support each child’s unique interests. Our philosophy of education is simply summed up in a quote by Bev Bos. “If it hasn’t been in the hand… and the body…it can’t be in the brain!”

Our outdoor-focused approach turns nature into a dynamic classroom, allowing children to explore outdoors every day.

Whether they’re building forts, jumping in puddles, investigating insects, or creating art from natural materials, children develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a deep connection to the environment.
