What is your educational philosophy? Each child has unique individual talents and potential that deserve nurturing in a safe engaging environment that fosters curiosity, creativity and love of learning using high-quality instruction and play-based experiences.
What are the qualifications and experience levels of your teachers and staff? We have a range of teacher experiences from new to veterans. Some with alternative certification pathway, with Lead Teachers obtaining Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate within 2 years as LDOE required.
How do you communicate with parents about their child’s progress and daily experiences? We use a variety of tools to communicate including online apps and daily progress reports for infants. Children are assessed three times annually using the state-required assessment, Teaching Strategies GOLD.
What is your approach to handling challenging behaviors or conflicts among children? Classroom teachers may implement behavior guidance and behavior management CLASS and Smart Teach strategies.
What health and safety measures do you have in place, and how do you respond to emergencies? Each school site has a protocol to follow for on campus emergencies. Type III centers implement Louisiana’s Early Learning Center’s Licensing Regulations and LDOH – Office of Public Health’s Administrative Code.
