Celebrating the Success of ExxonMobil High School Interns at Closing Program

Forty high school students from the greater Baton Rouge area celebrated the conclusion of their summer internships with ExxonMobil’s High School Internship Program. During the closing ceremony, the interns presented their final projects that they had worked on during their tenure. The interns were placed in several different pathways such as engineering, information technology, laboratory sciences, project management, environmental stewardship, mechanical operations, and pipeline and terminal management. The program consisted of a diverse group of rising juniors, seniors, and recent graduates that originated from 23 schools across eight school systems in the Capital Region. They acquired new skills, participated in hands-on projects, gained insights into operational processes, adhered to safety standards, and contributed to community service initiatives—all while earning competitive compensation exceeding $18 per hour.
