The Baton Rouge Police Department and Capital Area Family Justice Center have received funding to promote awareness of crime victims’ rights during 2025 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (April 6-12, 2025). The grant, awarded by the National Association of VOCA Assistance Administrators, will support media outreach to inform the community about victim services. This year’s theme, “Connecting < KINSHIP > Healing,” emphasizes the importance of support networks in recovery. Parents and families can get involved by learning more about victims’ rights and supporting local efforts. For resources and event details, visit afjc.org or brla.gov/3212/Resource-Information.
