In an effort to help ease the financial burden for families this school year, Baton Rouge-area Verizon Wireless retail locations gave away hundreds of FREE backpacks. Verizon-authorized retailer, Round Room, hosted its 12th Annual “School Rocks Backpack Giveaway” event where hundreds of families lined up to receive a free backpack.
