Baker High School students are spending their last year in the middle school building as construction on the new high school building is wrapping up. In addition, this is the last school year they’ll be in the classroom five days a week. Like so many other schools throughout the country, Baker Schools Superintendent JT Stroder shares they’ve encountered issues with students bouncing back post-pandemic. Superintendent Stroder is planning on implementing a four-day school week with the district’s juniors and seniors next year. He believes the goal is to give them a fresh start in their new building and improve academics, attendance, and behavior.
