Another semester at FranU is finished which means another class of graduates are being sent off with not just diplomas in hand, but the status of FranU Alumni. With the education that they received and the countless hours that were poured into them by professors and staff all these years, there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that this group of students will go on to do great things in their respective fields. Brian Rash, Prevost and VP of Academic Affairs, put it best expressing in his graduation speech Saturday:
“There’s 159 of you in total. Amongst you we will be awarding degrees at every level, associates, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. 79% of this group are female. Our youngest graduate is 21 years old while our most seasoned is 50 years young. But on average your age is 26. Over 97% of you claim Louisiana as your home base but we do have representation from the great states of Florida, New York, Illinois and Kentucky. And also a special note that for the first time that we can verify, we have students today obtaining their 2nd graduate degree from FranU. And you have served our community extensively! While at FranU, these graduates have accumulated 8,709 service hours with an estimated economic impact of the equivalent of over $228,000. Amazing!”
To the Spring 2023 graduating class, congratulations on your great accomplishment and best of luck to you in your future endeavors.
