Parkview Robotics students jumped into action after learning of the opportunity to print mask-securing headbands for Baton Rouge area healthcare professionals.
Parkview students read the irritation and discomfort caused by the elastic bands looped over the ears of doctors and nurses wearing PPE masks, and they connected with another robotics team who shared their headband file and began customizing their own designs and printing.
Many of the BulahBots Robotics team members have their own 3D printers at home, and they are able to print seven to eight headbands per page over the course of a couple hours. Their current plan is to print as many as possible before delivering them to our "heroes at work."
