Parkview Baptist School hosted its’ first annual Starry Night–Art & Literature Stroll. Families enjoyed the Art Stroll featuring works by students from all four divisions: Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle School and High School. Fourth grade, Middle School, and High School students treated their audiences to original poetry readings in the Mission Café’.
Parents, grandparents, and faculty members gathered in the center of campus to hear the Third and Fourth grade choir students perform. Next, Middle School and High School vocalists filled the Courtyard with individual selections and previews from the PBS Theatre Department’s upcoming production of Beauty and the Beast. To conclude the musical program, the High School Band performed the "Star Wars Saga" by composer John Williams.
Elementary students and their parents enjoyed a wide selection of literature and literacy-focused activities and games, while all families spent time in the library shopping at the Book Fair by Cavalier House Books. Food trucks added to the festivities, including That’s a Wrap!, Rouge A Roux, Honey Do Sips & Savory, and Geaux Cuban.
