If you or a family member is in need of a COVID-19 Vaccination the City of Baker will host the Louisiana Office of Public Health and Louisiana National Guard as they administer free vaccines.

Reminder – If you received your first dose on 6-October-2021 at Baker City Hall this is the opportunity to receive your second dose. Anyone else that is within the timeframe needing their second dose is encouraged to attend this free event.

If you have not yet received the vaccine and meet the CDC guidelines which are, everyone 12 years of age and older is now eligible to get a free COVID-19 vaccination, this is the opportunity to receive your first dose.

If you have been fully inoculated prior to 3-November and are interested in a booster dose, the CDC guidance states that individuals who received a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, the following groups are eligible for a booster shot at 6 months or more after their initial series:

For the nearly 15 million people who got the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, booster shots are also recommended for those who are 18 and older and who were vaccinated two or more months ago.

Eligible individuals may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose. Some people may have a preference for the vaccine type that they originally received, and others may prefer to get a different booster.

CDC’s recommendations allow for mix and match dosing for booster shots.

Please remember to bring your identification and if you are getting a second dose or booster, your vaccination card.
