1500 Children Left to Be Adopted for Christmas Before December 7th!

The Salvation Army has nearly 1,500 children who need to be adopted this Christmas through the Angel Tree program.

To adopt a child, visit www.salvationarmybr.org. The Salvation Army is also asking for donations of toys and new clothing for children of all ages and sizes to provide for unadopted youth! Donations can be dropped off Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at 7361 Airline Highway. The Salvation Army is relying on donors in the community to help make Christmas bright this year for thousands of children in the Greater Baton Rouge area this year.

“This year we have seen a tremendous increase in our social services request, the combination of hurricanes and COVID in South Louisiana has left many of our neighbors in great need this Christmas season. Many are choosing between keeping the lights on and putting food on the table. We need your help to bring a joyful Christmas to thousands of children this year," says Major Donald Tekautz.

Angel Tree distribution will take place on December 11-13 this year, leaving just a few more days to get your Angels adopted and returned. This year, adoptions are completely online, shopping can be done online and shipped to The Salvation Army. For more information, visit www.salvationarmybr.org, or call Morgan at (225) 367-6904.
