Miles2Moms is more than just a 2-mile walk/run—it’s a movement dedicated to uplifting, educating, and supporting mothers and families across the Baton Rouge community. Hosted by Conscious Moms, this annual event brings together parents, healthcare providers, businesses, and community organizations for a powerful day centered on maternal wellness and connection.
This year’s event will feature an inspiring keynote address from Cheri Johnson, Executive Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Woman’s Hospital. With her extensive leadership in women’s health, Cheri Johnson will share critical insights on improving maternal outcomes and supporting mothers at every stage of their journey.
One of the most unique aspects of Miles2Moms is our immersive “Mom Village”—a thoughtfully curated experience where participants walk through a vibrant network of resources immediately following the race. This village will feature dedicated areas such as Lactation Lane, OB/GYN Avenue, Doula & Midwife Road, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect directly with doulas, midwives, OB/GYN providers, lactation consultants, mental health professionals, beauty and wellness brands, children’s service providers, and local organizations—all committed to serving moms and families.
Alongside these inspiring resources, participants can also enjoy refreshing iced coffees and spritzes from CC’s Coffee House, a fun braid bar offering glitter and colored hairspray courtesy of Aveda, plus many more hands-on experiences and giveaways designed to make the day both energizing and memorable.
In addition to connection and community, Miles2Moms will serve as a platform for impact and awareness. This year, Conscious Moms will unveil never-before-released data collected over the past five years highlighting the state of maternal mental health in Louisiana. These findings aim to inform, educate, and drive meaningful conversations and solutions around maternal wellbeing in our state.
Proceeds and partnerships from Miles2Moms directly support programs like “Well, Mama,” an initiative by Conscious Moms that provides free maternal mental health services to mothers, including up to five visits with licensed professionals, as well as community-based support groups. Through this program and others, Conscious Moms continues to break barriers to care and ensure that no mom has to navigate motherhood alone.
We invite businesses, healthcare providers, organizations, and families to join us in this impactful event—whether by participating, sponsoring, or simply showing support.
Together, we can build a stronger, healthier village for every mom.
