Louisiana high school seniors heading to college or trade school in fall 2026 have a chance to kickstart their next chapter with a free laptop, thanks to the sixth annual Gordon’s Grads giveaway from Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys.
The initiative will award 15 new MacBook Neo laptops to students across the state. Applicants must submit either a 500-word essay or a 90-second video explaining why they deserve a laptop and what qualities make them stand out. Proof of enrollment at an accredited university, community college, or trade school for fall 2026 is also required. More details and applications can be found here.
“Investing in students is investing in Louisiana’s future,” says Gordon McKernan, founder of Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys. “Through Gordon’s Grads, we want to help Louisiana students start their next chapter with the tools they need to succeed.”
Since its launch in 2020, Gordon’s Grads has been part of the firm’s broader community outreach, supporting students and families statewide. Recipients will be selected based on creativity, effort, and demonstrated need, with winners announced May 4, 2026.
This program provides a meaningful boost for students beginning college or trade school, ensuring they have the technology necessary to excel academically.
