Families who love learning about Louisiana’s history have something new to celebrate. The Friends of the Capitol Park Museum, the nonprofit that supports the Capitol Park Museum in Baton Rouge, has unveiled a refreshed brand identity designed to better reflect its mission and deepen its impact in the community.

The updated look highlights the museum’s place at the heart of Louisiana’s story. The new logo centers the silhouette of the Capitol Park Museum within the outline of the state, underscoring its role as the largest site in the Louisiana State Museum system and a key storyteller of Louisiana’s culture and heritage. A rich, modern color palette draws inspiration from Louisiana’s landscapes, waterways, and artistic spirit, mirroring the diversity of the families the museum serves.

“This rebrand marks a renewed focus on who we are as an organization,” says Griffin Landry, President of the Friends of the Capitol Park Museum. Over the past year, the Friends have worked to stabilize operations, strengthen partnerships, and reimagine programming. The new identity represents the energy and commitment needed to support the museum at a higher level, particularly in educational outreach and family-friendly events.

Starting December 1, 2025, families will begin to see the new branding on event materials, digital platforms, membership communications, and community programs, with full implementation in early 2026. The updated look is more than a design change—it’s a springboard for expanded programming, larger events, and more opportunities for kids and parents to connect with Louisiana’s history together.

As the Friends move into 2026, their renewed brand positions them to reach more families, increase community engagement, and ensure that Louisiana’s stories are accessible, engaging, and fun for the next generation. Discover more here.
