State Superintendent of Education Dr. Cade Brumley and East Baton Rouge Schools Superintendent LaMont Cole celebrated East Baton Rouge Schools’ successful implementation of state initiatives focused on high-dosage tutoring. Jefferson Terrace Principal Joy Watson emphasized the value of high-dosage tutoring, describing it as a “huge amount of prescription instruction directed toward students’ individual needs.” The instructional model provides students with approximately 120 minutes of focused support each week to help them prepare for grade-level content in both math and reading.
