East Baton Rouge, Rapides, and Tangipahoa Parishes have united to establish a new center dedicated to training educators in Montessori teaching methods. Backed by a $15 million federal grant, this initiative aims to expand the pool of certified Montessori teachers in Louisiana. Among the seven participating schools are Belfair Montessori Magnet School and The Dufrocq School.
