What is your educational philosophy? Grounded in Christian values and best practices in early childhood development, the Dunham ECC nurtures two-year-olds’ intellectual, socio/emotional, and spiritual development through play and hands-on experiences.

What are the qualifications and experience levels of your teachers and staff? Lead teachers hold degrees in early childhood education, child development, or a related field. All staff are trained in CPR/first aid and grow in pedagogical knowledge through required professional training.

How do you communicate with parents about their child’s progress and daily experiences? Parents receive daily communication from teachers and are encouraged to communicate with teachers as needed. Conferences are held during the year to discuss developmental milestones, behavior, and growth.

What is your approach to handling challenging behaviors or conflicts among children? Biblical principles guide teachers in handling challenging behaviors in a loving way through positive redirection and communication. If a pattern of inappropriate behavior persists, a parent-teacher conference will be scheduled.

What health and safety measures do you have in place, and how do you respond to emergencies? Safety measures include a detailed crisis plan, ongoing safety training and drills, a school nurse, two security officers, restricted access to buildings, an AI camera system, and remote lockdown capability.
