Brandon and Amy Foreman, the visionary leaders of Family Resource Group, Inc. and the Family Resource Group Foundation, have been named recipients of the 2024 Spaht Scholar Award. This honor, bestowed by the East Baton Rouge Parish Library through the Will and Leona Huff Fund, shines a spotlight on individuals and organizations dedicated to igniting a passion for learning in young minds.

For over three decades, the Foremans have been trailblazers in the literacy landscape. Under their leadership, Family Resource Group has become a lifeline for families, offering innovative programs that nurture a love of reading, education, and community connection.

“This award isn’t just about us,” says Brandon Foreman, CEO of Family Resource Group, Inc. “It’s a testament to the incredible work of our team and our partners. Amy and I are deeply honored and remain committed to creating opportunities that inspire families and strengthen our community.”

Through a remarkable partnership with the East Baton Rouge Parish Library, numerous programs have been brought to life, all providing children and families with the tools and resources needed to thrive. These programs include: Kid Scoop News with the Home Library Program, The Baton Rouge Airport Literacy and Learning Lab, and The Literacy and Learning Lab at the Inspiration Center (slated to open in Fall 2025), among others.
