Zoey J., one of our 2024-25 Cover Kids, was recently named the district’s Student of the Year! A student at Parkview Elementary School, Zoey was celebrated for her outstanding talent and accomplishments, along with other district winners, during a special ceremony held at McKinley Middle Academic Magnet.

The event was hosted by John Pastorek of WBRZ, who served as the master of ceremonies, with Mayor Sharon Weston-Broome as the guest speaker. Superintendent LaMont Cole and Deputy Superintendent Adam Smith also took part in the program. Reflecting on the achievements of these exceptional students, Superintendent Cole says, “These young leaders have set the bar high with their academic excellence and dedication to their communities. We are incredibly proud of them and excited to see all they will achieve.”

Congratulations, Zoey!
