7th grade Parkview Baptist students recently participated in the school’s third annual Louisiana Festival, during which they demonstrated their knowledge of Louisiana history; enjoyed classic Louisianian food from Randy Montalbano’s Seafood & Catering and Jerry Lee’s Cajun Foods; and finished the day with a crawfish peeling contest, hot sauce tasting challenge, and a crawfish race. They also got to hear conservationist David Cresson from CCA Louisiana speak about how to take care of our state’s resources. Other activities included dancing, painting, playing games, and playing Cajun charades. Everyone was able to enjoy a delicious Abita root beer float as well.
