Sacred Heart of Jesus School
About
Established in 1929, Sacred Heart of Jesus School educates PreK4 through eighth grade students at our historic campus in the heart of Baton Rouge. Our campus includes our iconic school building, a breathtaking church, a fully restored ball field, and two gymnasiums. Sacred Heart takes pride in a student body that reflects diverse religions, ethnicities, socio-economic statuses, races, and neighborhoods. This diversity is the very foundation of our mission. Our committed faculty delivers a solid curriculum with individualized instruction that is rooted in the Catholic faith. Sacred Heart offers a dyslexia/instructional support lab, advanced math for middle school students, and Algebra I for eighth-grade students. With numerous opportunities for personal growth through leadership roles, service projects, creativity, and athletics, Sacred Heart fulfills its mission to “educate the mind, body and spirit.”
