Pair It Forward

Raegan Bowman, owner of Oh Pair Children’s Shoe Boutique in Baton Rouge, recently set out on a mission to ensure that the children who lost everything due to the flooding would not have to go without the basic necessity of socks and shoes.

After reaching out to all of her vendors and explaining to them the devastation that our great state was experiencing, Raegan has already been able to donate 1,500 pairs of shoes to Ascension Parish. Next week, she will be receiving 6,000 pairs of shoes that she hopes to put in the hands of families in need in Central, Livingston, and East Baton Rouge.

While the response from the vendors has been incredible, Raegan hopes to raise monetary donations to advance her mission in making sure that no child goes without a properly-fitting pair of shoes. And with school returning, this donation is now more important than ever.

With over 100,000 students returning to school and needing shoes, New Balance has agreed to reduce the store’s wholesale cost on their tennis shoes. Then, it’s up to Raegan and those willing to donate, to raise the money to buy the school shoes.
