Nate Goza

Nate Goza, a seventh grader at Parkview Baptist School, has figured out how to be a well-liked, serious student athlete, and be kind to everyone. This way of life is working for Nate. He plays football, baseball, and basketball wholeheartedly. Even if he is not playing for a school team, he is playing with his brothers at home.

But Nate’s athletic talent is not what many people find remarkable. It is his heart for all people and his friendliness that sets him apart. In his home, he is the champion of his little sister, who is on the autism spectrum. She looks for him immediately after her mother. In his school, he is a friend to all different groups of kids. And to the world, he is an ambassador for his faith. This past summer, Nate joined his church on a mission trip to Mexico. He was able to share his love for sports as well as his love for God while helping lead a baseball camp.

Though his athletic and social achievements are laudable, his academic success is also impressive. Nate maintains A’s in his courses, and he even took the ACT this year, scoring a 19 as a seventh grader. He is committed to excelling in his academics and is always driven to do his best. Although Nate does not have much spare time with his many activities and school responsibilities, he loves to read when he gets a few moments to himself. He is becoming quite a history buff, reading all the World War II books he can get his hands on.

Nate’s brilliance and work ethic are truly admirable, but it’s the way he treats others that really makes him one amazing kid.
