Calling all kids! PDF Print E-mail

Whether your child loves animals or likes to write, draw, animate or just “doodle”,  there is a contest for them this spring with bug bucks and prizes!

Doodle 4 Google

If you could do anything, what would you do? Discover a cure for cancer? Become president of the United States? Fly to Mars? Because Google believes in “thinking big and dreaming big,” the company is inviting kindergarten through twelfth grade students to create an artistic expression for their homepage logo around the theme, “If I Could Do Anything, I Would…”

Contest is open to American residents, ages 5-18 years old who attend elementary and secondary schools and home-schooled children are eligible to participate. Teacher registration is required for all entries. Registration ends March 17th and entries are due March 31st. The winning doodle will be featured on Google.com homepage May 27th.

Judges will select 400 state finalists, 40 regional finalists, 4 national finalists and one  national winner. Prizes include a $15,000 college scholarship, trip to the Google New York office, a laptop computer, a Wacom digital design tablet and a t-shirt printed with his/her doodle on it. The winner’s school will also receive a $25,000 technology grant toward the establishment or improvement of a computer lab.
