Oh Christmas Lights—Where are you?

For many, piling into the family car and going on an adventure to look at Christmas lights is a tradition as solid as Santa himself. We asked and you responded with some great places to take the family for a holiday adventure as well as some neighborhoods and houses that are worth the drive.

Frazier's Homestead Hayride and Lights
Join Frazier's Homestead for a "Country Christmas" hayride complete with Christmas lights in the forest. Hayrides cost $5 per person and includes a bonfire, warm food and drinks, pony rides, caroling and photo opportunities. Experienced riders can also take a trail ride on a horse for $12, or on a Homestead Horse for $25. The Homestead will be open Dec 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 and 19 beginning at 6 p.m. with hayrides leaving every 45 minutes. Reservations preferred. The Homestead is located at 13133 Brown Road, Central, LA.  For more information, call (225) 610-0656 or Deidra (225) 278-0302.

Local neighborhoods and subdivisions

I am the Clark Griswold of my neighborhood.  I have already started hanging mine and it takes me about a month to put everything up. It’s a lot of fun and the neighborhood kids enjoy them.   A couple of families take their annual Christmas pictures in front of my home.   The name of our subdivision is Lyndale Estates and my address is 1700 Lansdown Ave. Port Allen, 70767.
