Open since 1956, Old Dutch has been serving the community the best ice cream in town. It is the place to be after school on Friday afternoons, and any Mobilian will tell you no one can pass up a lemon custard ice cream cone.

Splash in the waves and exploring Dauphin Island.
Dauphin Island is a quaint, small stretch of sand just south of Mobile Bay. With public beaches, Fort Gaines, and an Estuarium, the Island can provide hours of family fun in the sun.

The historic home of Walter and Bessie Bellingrath spans 65-acres and is a public garden located on Fowl River. You can roam the gardens, admiring the flowers, and at Christmas time, the entire property is lit in twinkling lights of every color, shape, and size for the enjoyment of visitors.

Step back in time at Fort Conde, a reconstruction of the Civil War fort that protected the Mobile Bay.

Fort Conde is located in the heart of downtown Mobile, next to the Bankhead Tunnel. Visitors can tour the fort, see what life was like inside the structure, and even see a blacksmith at work.

Within the Historic District of Downtown Mobile, Oakleigh Mansion has been around since 1833. The Oakleigh Belles serve as ambassadors to the home and give guided tours during which you can learn more about Mobile and the antebellum South. There are even rumors the mansion is haunted!
